See What Your Missed Calls Are Costing You

Nearly half of the calls your business gets never reach a human.

Not “leads.” Calls. People with a broken furnace and a credit card, dialing your number right now. This page shows you exactly what that costs you, using your own numbers — and what happens the moment somebody picks up.

48% of home-services calls go unanswered 46% of answered calls become jobs 56% of the leads you already paid for never book

Module 1 — The Leak Calculator

Your money, leaking, in real time.

Pick your trade. Move the sliders until they match your business. Every assumption is on the screen and every one of them is yours to change — nothing is hidden behind the number.

Every inbound call — new customers, existing ones, after hours, all of it.
Your average invoice. Not your best month, your average.
Industry average is 48%. Most owners guess 10%. Pull your own call log and check.
They dial the next name on the list. This one is an estimate, not a published figure — set it where you believe it.
Our target, not a promise. Start it low. If the first month beats it, raise it and run the math again.

Where these numbers come from. The 48% unanswered figure is Invoca’s 2026 Home Services report, built on 70 million-plus calls. The share of answered calls that turn into booked jobs (46%) is from the same dataset; ServiceTitan’s trade-level booking rates back it up. Average job values come from SearchLight Digital’s 2026 study of 888 contractors and Data-Driven Trades. The “never call back” slider is an estimate you control — there is no honest published number for it, and we would rather say so than borrow one. Nothing here is a guarantee of results.

Module 2 — Watch it happen

The same missed call, two different companies.

Left is what happens today. Right is what happens the day we turn this on. Same customer. Same call. Ninety seconds apart.

Module 3 — Speed to lead

How long you wait decides whether you get the job.

Drag the handle. This is the single most studied number in sales, and almost nobody acts on it.

21x vs. waiting 30 minutes

Call back inside five minutes and you are twenty-one times more likely to actually qualify that lead than if you wait half an hour. Not twenty-one percent. Twenty-one times.

Source. The Lead Response Management Study (Dr. James Oldroyd, 15,000+ leads and 100,000+ call attempts). Widely miscredited to MIT — it was InsideSales platform data analyzed by an MIT Sloan researcher. Harvard Business Review’s 2011 secret-shopper audit of 2,241 companies found the average first response took 42 hours, and 23% never responded at all. A 2021 replication across 5.7 million leads found fewer than 1% of first call attempts happen within five minutes.

Module 4 — The list you already own

You have paid for these customers once already.

Every quote you sent that went quiet. Every job from three years ago. It sits in your system doing nothing. Move the slider.

Reply rates on a well-written reactivation campaign run 3–8%. We use 4%, and we assume only a quarter of repliers actually book.
80people who reply
20who book something
$48,680revenue from one campaign
$750what the sprint costs — you keep the rest
The honest version. Reply rates depend entirely on list quality and how long it has been sitting. A three-year-old list of price shoppers performs nothing like last quarter’s unsold quotes. We run the first campaign before you sign anything long-term, so you see your real number instead of ours. Text messages to this list require the customer’s consent and a registered sending number — we handle the registration, but a list with no consent trail goes out by email and phone, not text.
